Origin of Ceramic Echoes

Truthfully, there isn’t a grand story behind the name Ceramic Echoes; I’m a gal who decided to take a ceramics class on a whim in college and who also had the nickname “Echo” as a camp counselor one summer (also on a whim). I wanted to continue building my craft and connect with others who are part of this immersive, beautiful, and sometimes chaotic hobby. The name grew on me, and Ceramic Echoes was born.

While the name may not have a deep origin, what is meaningful is the medium itself. Ceramics as both art and function has been around for thousands of years, thereby “echoing” throughout history and so many cultures. Every piece I make holds a part of me, and I hope the time, care, and love poured into my work can be felt when it becomes part of your world.
